hahhahaha. Why do people even feel the need to make the comment.

Can dark brown or snuff chukkas work with wool dress pants? Want to add something suede to my rotation but not sure if it will work with my everyday attire. I have 2 pairs of longwings already so while very nice, I'm not interested in the suede longwings.

A lack of respect for what or who?

I'd saying referring to people you don't know as uncle and or nephew qualifies as a stupid comment. Calling someone you don't know "uncle" or "nephew" is disrespectful to family members that you actually know and love is it not? Does this sort of childishness not cheapen your relationships with your actual family.

I have too much love and respect for my uncles and nephews to equate my relationship with them with some guy on styleforum.

Maybe I'm reading way too much into this, but I'm sure you'll all get over it eventually.

Edit IMHO a totally classless post that provokes a total lack of respect

Steve

The intent of my original post was simply this. When I first started following this forum, 90% of all posts on here were of mac and his argyles and or hiked up pants and old man legs. The creepiness of which led me to stop following the forum approximately 10 minutes after a started in the first place. I recently came back so I could gather some information to help me with me next shoe purchase. Knowing that the members of this forum are very knowledgable, including Mac, I was willing to put up with the strange culture of this thread. To my surprise, none of that weird stuff has been posted over the last month or so that I've been commenting. I was simply saying that the second time around has been much more pleasant.

If that bothers you, I am confident that it won't bother you enough to affect your life and that you'll get over it in a matter of minutes if not seconds.

On another note, this thread really has been very helpful.

Not everyone cares for the Uncle/Nephew thing. We get that. I don't understand it, either!

Your best bet is just to block posters that you don't want to see comments from. Then you still benefit from the forum.

FedEx delivered these to me last night. About 6months ahead of my quoted arrival date.

I think the people saying they are the same have narrow feet, so they just don't notice the change in width/volume between the lasts.

I know what you mean. Typically if a size is good for you in Barrie last then the same size will work effortless with Trubalance (it's the roomiest last afterall). But, strictly speaking for myself, I've gained weight since some of my shell purchases last year (I blame it on the severe winter) and those Barrie shoes now do feel tight. The Trubalance boots still fit perfectly. Hopefully some biking with the warm weather will help to trim down and this won't be an issue at all. Just that when it comes to shoe sizing it's always ymmv.

I understand your thoughts and to some the Uncle/Nephew stuff might be an issue. My issues were You bundled the socks, poses and old stuff in your post too. You knew going in you might get shot but it did not stop you from posting it.

My primary point is to a great extent Uncle Mac is this forum. Nobody can question his contributions to this forum from a value perspective. I'm glad you are a part of it, but if anything Mac has posted could drive you away I'd take that all day long over your post driving him away! I value Mac more than you, but that's me.

Mac matters the the rest of us not so much.
