Waiting at the repair shop with reverse tobacco chamois.

How often does everyone here condition their chamois?  I have read that these need little maintenance, only occasional Neatsfoot oil.

Neatsfoot oil if they get dry, otherwise wear them and wear them... and then wear them.

I would guess that 99% of people do not do much except wear them. (including me)

The 9D Grant fits well, but perhaps a tad long. Due to relative unavailability of rare Grant last makeups I'll stick to a 9D. I suspect that while the length would be slightly better with 8.5E, it would ruin the fit of the heel cup and the rest of my foot.

Thanks to you, schmallo and thromb, I've a better idea of my sizes in different lasts as I am also a 9E in the Brannock. Feeling more confident in getting my first Alden online vs. waiting for opportunities to go to a brick and mortar just to ensure a good fit.

But what would be my size for Aberdeen?

Those are really awesome, @gr789. Every time I see this leather, whether in WT or captoe, I know that I will be getting a pair at some point.

Get on that pre-order with Yenni. Same boot just with commando sole.

I'm indecisive about whether I want a wingtip or a cap toe. Yeah, I know, get both, right?
