Alden for Brooks Brothers brown PTBs.  Burnished with black, blue and burgundy shoe cream.  I enjoyed the process but the results were goofy!

I put them on and the wife said she liked the color more than the last pair, and that they looked great. Said screw it and began putting stylish creases in them myself. Thanks again for the help everyone.

A beautiful golden color, but I don't really want to baby an Indy boot and I am wondering what they are going to look like down the road. I've done some google searches trying to find a well used natty CXL boot with limited success. I already own a 403, so if they are going to significantly darken, then that would be something I would be less enthusiastic about. I know a lot of this has to do with whether or not I put anything on them (eventually probably just Saphir greasy for CXL), and how I wear them.  Point being, I haven't worn them yet, and could always go back today to exchange for a different leather….

What do you think gentlemen? Keep them or exchange them? I keep my 403's well brushed and shiny for nice, casual wear, so a part of me wants a pair I can be less careful with….maybe even a 405.

I bought my NXT Indy's for daily wear. That's why I had to pause for a moment and say why return them as I'm going to wear the crap out of them.

Im actually looking forward to the daily grind blemishes, but I suppose I wanted them perfect from the start.

This pair is slightly darker than the last set and I did like that, but my wife loves them. Happy wife happy life right?

Also, the sides are already slightly looser from the few minutes they have been on my feet. Great info from everyone on here again. I know I'm praising a lot, but it is appreciated.

that makes a lot of sense. As for me, I already have a 403, so Whether I need two CXL Indy's is really the question. Enjoy your new boots!

I would -- especially since I'm going to end up scratching and scraping them despite how much I try to avoid it.

I have seen firsts sold with way bigger issues than that. You'll scuff them up worse in a few wears!
