Have Indy boots in cigar and #8 shell, the old kind with regular, machine stitching on the hood. I don't like the current models with raised stitching.

Anyway, looking to take the plunge for a third pair I can beat up a little. Who sells an Indy with brown Chromexcel and commando sole?

Leathersoul's Ultimate Inday and Epaulet's Innsbruck Indy come to mind. Only difference being brass vs agatine eyelets I believe.

There could be others. Certainly in Brown CXL, but not sure on the commando sole.

Based off your post the first thing that comes to mind is something in reverse chamois or kudu leather. The troublesome part might be finding a boot in those leathers with all eyelets. Most of the make ups I've seen from various shops have hooks.

I agree the all eyelets is the challenging part.  I, too, much prefer that setup. Like bkotsko wrote, if you would entertain a shell option, there is the Halleck (commando)/Brixton (double leather) boot.  Unionmade recently ran a pre-order for the Hallecks.

Leffot does some great makeups in tobacco chamois.  They did a WT boot and if you are willing to go with a solid all-weather shoe, I highly recommend the Leffot chamois longwing,or captoe. Those come around fairly often.

And finally, would a chukka work for you?  Alden of Carmel does a calf and color 8 chukka on commando.

Thanks - I really like the unionmade make-ups.  How did you know about the Halleck pre-order??  and is it still open??

The shoe mart does a lot of boots with all eyelets. If you find something you like with a leather sole, you can put a sole protector on and you should be fine in the rain.

Alden on Madison recently received a shipment of the 403 (brown chrmxl Indy) on commando.  I would call them.  Epaulet and Leather Soul haven't had those models in stock for a while.

I noticed on the Shoemart website, they only have width E and EEE. Does anyone know if they make a EE?

Whiskey Wednesday with some fresh gunboats.  Only the second time wearing these.  Pretty happy with DC's latest run!

Furthering what RTP said, Leffot's greenwich boot in reverse tobacco chamois on commando is probably a really good choice to fit your needs. I personally love the understated cool factor of wing tips on the chamois leather. Reverse chamois leather is also really low maintenance. And it has all eyelets! I actually plan on jumping on that pre-order when it comes around. According to Leffot, they will definitely be doing another run this year. Best of luck.

@totalair1 Those are outstanding! Great color! Are they on Barrie?

Yes they are on Barrie.

Here's a link to the Leffot site back when they were available...around 2011/2012

^^^ What a score Steve!  I think I actually like Leffot's old website better than their current one; it just looks cooler.
