I almost spit vanilla ice cream all over my 27' Imac when I realized it was Namor's listing...

solid job on his part, setting the BIN at an aggressive price to help bump up the bids

I'm in San Francisco this week and made a bee line for the Alden store after a flight from the east coast. Was originally thinking about buying a pair of LHS in #8 - but instead chose a pair of 974 balmorals in #8 that fit better. They looked stunning and felt solid as a rock.

I'd have some pics to share except I had them shipped home.

Wanted to run this past you guys.

If you run across a brand new StyFo member selling a number of pairs of very rare shell cordovan boots, is this something to

be suspicious about?? I've never purchased anything via the forum (normally Ebay), so I was not sure if fraudulent posts ever happen or if PayPal covers you at all in that kind of situation. The boots are tempting, as you might imagine….

Also, English seems a bit off, which also has me wondering...

Thanks

Thanks

I've purchased a few items through SF and even a pair of rare Alden's from a fellow forum member here. That being said, its always good to be cautious. I recommend going through Paypal and sending the money as goods with an exact description of what the goods are. There's a fee associated which the seller may pass on (2.9% or so), but look at it as an insurance policy. Furthermore, have the seller invoice you in that way. Check if he's a verified seller, etc.
