Black and navy are great together. Stop with this insanity.

Sorry if this has been posted about recently...has anybody bought the Epaulet snuff suede Alt wiens on Aberdeen last? I have been eyeing them for months as a versatile multi-season shoe. Any pics in the wild?

KP: I just raised the same issue as I've found that while a 10.5D TB Indy fits really well, a 10.5D Barrie is a bit too narrow (and maybe even a bit short).  An 11D in the Barrie works for me, although I suspect that a 10.5E could be good too.

Agree. For my boots 11D Barrie, 10.5D trubalance. For shoes with a thinner sock I do 10.5D or 11C barrie.

I picked up a pair of shell indies last month and wasn't charged import taxes. They were shipped via EMS and were accompanied with paperwork that stated the shoes were made in the USA along with the value. I feel pretty lucky.

So... I scored a pair of suede Pacers on double secret probation sale for $75. I like them, but...

They whetted my appetite for a pair of the real thing. The Pacers in 10 1/2 are a close fit for me with thin or medium socks. If I go to Alden 405s, should I stay with 10 1/2 to get some extra room, or downsize to 10? Anyone who owns both have any insights to offer in relative sizing?

Thanks in advance...

If the 10.5s in the pacers are comfortable, I would go 10 in the real Indys. They will break in and stretch over time so even if they are snug at first they will stretch.

Hold it -- J. Crew's Indy knockoff is really called the Pacer?  I'd never heard its name before, but really?  Like the Indiana, or Indy, Pacers?  You've got to be kidding me.

I agree with Aero. If your JCrew fits well, go down half a size for the trubalance.

I've known the name but never put that together (Pacer = indy); wow, now that's pretty egregious!
