Thanks for the Jcrew code!

Picked up the last pair of 975s in my size!  Which in turn justifies me sending my existing pair to B Nelson and getting them to put an antique sole on them!

I wear forest in 8.5UK and bought us9 E on grant and i find them a bit wide, so the right size would probably be between 8.5d and 9d

Thinking about trying the same thing with the wingtip boot. Only other things I like they have in stock is the the 975 (already got 2nds from TSM) and the 405. But I'm getting a brown Innsbruck indy and that seems a bit redundant.

I only have experience with CXL indys and they're a 10D. They're roomy so I wear them with heavyweight socks and they're good with that but still may have a small amount of room in the toes. My right foot in about a half size smaller than my left with less girth to boot. The length is more my concern. I really want to preorder some suede barrie lasted boots but don't know if i should go a half size down. In my indys, if i wear lightweight socks I have a good amount of room even in my bigger foot, id say half size. I think they became more roomy due to the nature of CXL. I guess my concern is more length than width. I don't know if this is a helpful picture but its my dilemma.

Thanks!

KPD  How did the CXL Indy's fit when you first got them because suede won't stretch like cxl.  For me my Indy's (TB last) fit wider than barrie and I need an e in barrie suede lined shoes ( haven't tried boots) so if the length on your Indy's are good you will probably be ok with the same size in Barrie.  Only if the length is too long would I size down.  Someone else may be able to chime in who has suede barrie boots.  What is your brannock size when you go to a shoe store and you get measured?

hope this helps

(top row, l to r) black shell tanker (SF), black trapper calf PT boot (TSM), king shell tanker (SF), Innsbruck (Epaulet), Taunton (Epaulet), natty CXL (North River Outfitter)

(bottom row, l to r) black shell monk (TSM), king shell George (TSM), king shell medallion CTB (SF), ravello chukka (DC?), cigar LWB (DC?), whiskey SW bal (DC)

(ravello and cigar were second-hand)

I'm also on the preorder for the king shell Alt Wien (Epaulet) but who knows when that will come through.
Really cool to see the King George. Kinda wish it was more popular around here. I can't say I've ever seen it on feet.

Thanks, gents.  :fistbump:

The tankers and Indys are indeed TB.  The king tanker is the same size as my Indys, but the black one is a half-size bigger.  I use it primarily as a motorcycle boot and always wear thick socks with it, so that works fine.  Otherwise, the Indys are definitely getting looser over time, although not enough for me to think I should have sized down.

I agree that it's a little strange the George boot doesn't get more love around here.  It's very distinctive - similar to the stock chukka, but on the Aberdeen, which ought to make it attractive to those who love that last.

The indys fit well when I first bought them. I got fitted at TSM and the salesman measured and fit me to a 10D in TB and stressed "would not go any bigger" which I think meant I could probably go smaller if I felt like it. I have about a thumbs width in my larger foot with heavyweight socks in my Indys. My larger foot measures a mm or so above 10.5 and right foot in similar above a 10 and D width. I guess my concern is if barrie runs longer than TB in equivalent size.

Thanks!

Another thanks for posting that JCrew code, they are few and far between that work on ALL Aldens. Grabbed a 975 and the tobacco LWB, very happy.
