Extremely under rated shoe.  Welcome to the 2145 club!  Enjoy them often and great health...

Great looking pair of boots!  Are they whiskey shell?

I also had this done by B Nelson to my Cigar LWB and I'm very pleased with the result. I tend to wear down the tip of the toe on my shoes relatively quickly, so it's great having that extra reinforcement.

That was my recommendation as well as then you can control the color. But my secondary recommendation is to use the neutral AE edge trim. I recommend against using chili myself.

Office lighting you are hard pressed to tell the color difference, in natural light it shows but will even out soon enough.

I think I'm going to show them this pic and get their thoughts.

One thing to keep in the back of your head while deciding...
Do you wear your shoes inside the house and do you have hardwood flooring?
A good friend of mine would put a "yes" in the check boxes for both questions. In addition, he has a 4 year old daughter. One night of dancing to Frozen with her in the living room and he now has something else, a ruined floor.
Metal toes aren't bad, in fact I find them to be pretty damn cool, but I think you need to be conscious of the soles afterwards.
Just my friendly anecdotal advice.

Anyone got experience with the Alden madison 4065 black shell cap toe boot? Are they the same with the make up from the shoe mart bootmaker version 4065?
