Need some sizing help. I was sized as 10.5C on the Brannock, but have also been sized as 10C (go figure)

My barrie 9.5Ds work well in LWB and PTB
My tassels are 10.5B
10C works well in the modified last.

In general would a 10.5B work in the LHS?

Yeah didn't realize you would be sending the full can.  If you're willing to put some in another container to send out I'd take some.  Otherwise, no worries!

It sounds like the Epaulet Alt Wein hasn't even been started yet. That was preordered last July.
I checked last week...they have no idea when they'll be produced. Looking forward to receiving these and the matching boot at some point!

So the other day I email B Nelson and asked about adding something to the heel counter to take up some left over space in my smaller foot (~1/2 size) because i'm neurotic. They responded and said that they could put in a thick piece of leather against the existing heel counter and it would be cemented and stitched into place. In theory it sounds like the perfect solution to my problem. Im going to NYC this friday and am going to try and stop by there and talk to someone in person.

I was wondering if anyone else had an experience in doing something like this and how it worked out?

Thanks!

I would try the heel pads for $2 before you did anything drastic. small stickers that take up the space in the heel area

Some get charged while others dont. Its the main reason i dont use UPS if i can help it. Seems way to shady/sketchy that some are assessed these fees while others arent. I even brought that up to the UPS guy and he just was like,"Uh...its a standard issue fee that we cannot waive it." I called BS and just shrugged his shoulders. Rant over....WooSah

Pic of Invoice from UPS:

My frans boone cigar shell plain toe boot got hit for $120 UPS fee. That hurt on top of international shipping and at that time a weak dollar against the euro.

I think Frans can use Post.nl if you ask them. They should mark it as made in the USA as well. I was thinking about ordering from them, and I may ask them to use Post.nl instead of UPS.

Yes Sir,

I am a big proponent of keeping things in the community as well.  Especially the rare and exotic stuff.

I have found several examples of good stuff on Ebay and other places that was my exact size...but the prices were exorbitant.

Ravello Cap Toe Plaza boots for $1,600...I can get a pair of EG made in cordovan for that...and I even get to pick sole/welt/slight design mods etc...

Ravello LWB on Ebay for $1,100...Vass will hand welt them in cordovan for less than that....

Anyway, such is the nature of the Alden game I guess....

Yeah next time i will ask for a non-UPS method. The Box said Made in USA. He was a little surprised, but then went all "Company Man" on me. He claimed they still have to pay the customs employees to check that. Live and learn. Frans still has great makeups. I will for sure order from them again, no questions.
