I understand your pain...it happens to me too. The question I have to ask myself is:did I bid too low, or did the winner bid too high? I set my max bid and win the majority of the time. What really frustrates me is when I miss out on a buy it now item that I'm looking for, but you can't be on your computer all the time. Those #4 boots went for a high price, and the thing we've got to remember, though it sold for a few $ more than our max bid...we don't know what their max bid was? Until the next rare one comes along, I'm happy to keep hunting and hope I can take home a trophy next time!

See Ya,
Steve
Yes, it can be easy to get caught up in the hunt and be disappointed or pay too much. What I try to tell myself is that these are shoes, not Cezanne's, and as long as humans are born with soft feet, there will be no shortage of shoes. And that is true of Aldens. And, if Alden were to go away, there would be other great shoes.

Photos like Macs are why I took the plunge on the NSTs

The story of my alden addiction.

Whoah, those are fantastic! I've got the reverse -- #8 saddles with alpine toes/heels. Where are they from?

Thanks for the kind words. Like rydenfan said, they're from leffot. They have offered this makeup for the last 3 years, I'm sure you can get a pair for the next time around.

Great looking saddles MrDV. And those argyles, my word!

Thank you be. merino marcoliani argyles are going to be my gateway drug into cashmere.
