Casual Friday:
ALDEN Shell Whiskey Wingtip Boots

I wonder if I should try to get my hands on a pair of Whiskey Indys... too redundant?

I've had the Leffot Naval boot in both black shell and color #8 shell and ended up selling each unworn. They were gorgeous boots and a little bit of me always regretted the decision, but they just never really grew on me. I am in on the pre-order for the #8 Epaulet Alt Wien boot and I am greatly looking forward to those ones. Of course, they haven't even arrived yet, but I cannot see me parting with them anytime soon.

The WhiskeyWTB I can't wait to get rolling but these Ravello boots are crazy fantastic

With Anatomica's Ravello

I thought the new Cigar Chukkas were dark and I was going to let them go.. here is a comparison w Cigar WTBoot, Balmorals way too dark for me..

WTBoots because I can't help it and have to give my friend their camera back soon ; )

so..the Balmoral's are going back/too dark&fancy for me, if someone wanted to trade for the Whiskey (or Cigar) Chukkas (7.5D) for 7D of an NST in Cigar or Ravello PM me : )
Here is Whiskey Chukka w new WTB

Great acquisitions! Those Cigar balmorals are definitely dark for cigar but they are great looking. If you haven't already released them, I might be interested. wink.gif

And I thank Michigan Planner for allowing me to acquire his Naval boots. For me they work better than the jcrew pct boots, both sizing and style wise. They've become my favorite boots for the work week.

Wow, Dppr, they are spectacular!

If I had those and the whiskey Indy, I'd pick up the wingtip every time.

Anyone have any beads on #8 shell plain toe boots on the Barrie or Trubalance? Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, my attempts at getting them from Alden of Carmel, Alden of SF, and Frans Boone have all fallen through. The Alden of SF and Frans Boone were particularly heart breaking, as it took nearly 12 hours for me to find out that they had, in fact, gone out of stock in my size. I'm hoping for a potential restock one day of the Leather Soul make up, but not holding my breath. There are cap toes all around out there, but I just can't get my hands on a pair of plain toes.

How is the size of the naval compare to jcrew?

Speaking of Whiskey Indy boots....

Here's my well broken-in pair:

LeatherSoul was going to be my suggestion. They have a pre-order that is supposedly still in the works, but it's going on 2.5 years now so who knows. The only saving grace that I can think of is that enough people have probably dropped out of it by now that there may be a few extra sizes available when/if they do ever come in.

Have you checked DC, Madison, or Citishoes? If you're not looking for the version with antique edge, they should be available fairly regularly.
