I've assembled the shell family (Hallecks not here) in anticipation of new members arriving next week: Whiskey WTBoot, Ravello Captoe Boot and Cigar balmoral..

I luckily got in on the Ryden shit kicker and aside from keeping my fingers crossed for a Ravello (or Cigar or Whiskey ; ) NST shoe or boot my Alden splurge is close to over. Until I get into suede !

Good post! I like seeing them compared with one another. I added both those Chukka's to my rotation (cigar and whisky) this past year and I can tell you they both get a ton of wear. Love the look!

z8k1n - really great pictures, especially for shell comparison.  Thanks!

What are the best shoe trees for boots? I have woodlore twin epics and nordstroms rack ae trees also. But feel as though they don't fill the vamp as much as I'd like

Not Aldens, but wanted to share a self-deprecating Alden inspired moment.

I wondered if I could take my old Lobb suede loafers and turn them into Alden chamois.  So as you all know here, chamois is not suede plus Allen Edmonds leather conditioner.  Now I know this as well.  I am not very smart...

Getting ready to put these into the rotation.  Recent shoemart cigar indies.

Painful lesson learned, but it's good that you have a sense of humor about it. My guess is that laughing at the foopah is a little easier with those sweet cigar indy's about to join the rotation.

I will probably wear them a few times during spring and summer but by putting them away I get to wear my loafers, boat shoes, bucks, etc.  Burzan - they're a fantastic shade of #8.  I think the color on these is what makes them so attractive.  I have a pair of #8 gunboats that I am not so fond of because they are super dark and not much variation in the shade.

Could always hit them with Neatsfoot oil and see what happens.

Not sure what to make of this model, but figured I'd post as it is on sale and someone here might be interested.

Anyone picked up the Ravello cap toes from the recent Alden DC run? Can someone post pics?
