What are the differences between the 2145 and Epaulet's #8 Alt Wien? Looks like the Ep version uses Barrie instead of Aberdeen and a natural sole instead of black? Anything else obvious?

Seems like a lot of rare shell makeups are coming in. Got a call earlier today about the DC Ravello Daytrippers that came in. Too bad I wasn't on that Whiskey Indy list!

Oh really.....thats some good news. I hope.

I would have thought the Whiskey LWB would have been in first since it was into the factory a month ahead. Guess no one really ever knows outside those gates.

Here is how you get over it really fast....rare shell = Brown....Brown = Boring...rare shell is an oxymoron...it does not exist...hence it is just plentiful brown shell...

Sleep well my friend!

I did get them - I actually got on the list only a month or two ago. I was second on the 8.5D list. It sounded like they were calling people in order so hopefully they'll reach out to all people on the list soon. You may want to call them to see if they have any that aren't spoken for yet.

I'm sure they got two in your size. They usually give the ones who made the cut a week to decide. Here's to hoping.

I also snagged a BB LHS. They showed in 11 and 11.5D. Wonder if BB is getting a restock, or if it just took that long for the 2nds to show up from the last one.

I am very excited to announce, that I have decided to create a shoe blog dedicated to Alden. I do not intend to be competing with StyleForum, but thought that it was a better way to post up more static information that could be referenced back to (without having to use our favorite search feature).

For fun, I decided to call it, Alden of San Diego and it can be found at http://aldenofsandiego.com/ (assuming Alden is cool with that, otherwise I will change the URL). I hope that it is a good and useful reference for everyone here! I already posted it up in my signature and have decided to utilize this venue as a more readily accessible method for maintaining the FAQ. I have given a few members that I know and trust accounts to help me edit and maintain the information...

Also, I expect some of you may be interested, I posted a catalog of all of my shoes (with pictures, model numbers, etc.) I hope that this is a useful reference so that you can see what I have and what is in the realm of the possible and I posted up where I got mine from, so I hope that it should make connecting patterns to vendors a lot easier...

http://aldenofsandiego.com/?page_id=61

Anywho, I hope that you all enjoy. Thanks and have a good night!

You should talk to Ed about getting a commission. Now added to the Ravello WTB. Thanks to your lovely pictures.

Wow, this is amazing you guys! Thank you so very much, as you all know, I VERY much love my Aldens and am very glad to be able to share that with some others! Have a good one you all! P.S. If you have any feedback for me, let me know, and I know already that some models are listed as 1234 still, that is my indication to finish walking around and typing in model numbers... I wasn't planning to publish it's existence yesterday, but it just felt like the right time... :-)
