I love this model of boot. They are Aberdeen, great fit, lightweight and the boots breath with all that hand stitching. I wear my #8's in this makeup more than any other boot. Very excited to get these in Ravello.

very nice boots. i also like rrl denim, they go on sale fairly often. i tend to wear barrie and tb with denim, aberdeen with trousers.

I have some Hugo Boss jeans that fit slim. Suggestions? And no I don't want anything heavy.

@chipshot Try Momotaro. You can pick them up fairly reasonably from Denimio.com ($185 shipped from Japan). Their fit is excellent if you want a slim, not skinny, fit. Their 0702 is 15.7oz which is a good mid-weight jean that you can wear year round.

In other news, amazing boots. I am quite envious of everyone who got in on those! I'll have to give Ed a call to get on the next list.

How long did it take to get those boots?

This does not bode well for my Alden purchases...

The new WhatCrepe? I haven't been. Looks like I'll have to stick my head near that side of town more often when I'm back home.

Great pics over the past few days, the ravello shoes look great and that shined up cigar indy is awesome.

A few weeks ago I picked up a pair of cigar captoes on grant, on commando.

a first for grant and commando for me.

Here's a couple of pictures when I got them today.

I wiped them down with a wet rag, then applied lexol, wiped and brushed for about 10-15 minutes each and then wiped down again

looking better now

last, was to apply some saphir dark brown for cordovan ( Neats foot oil based), wiped off, brushed and buffed again.....more to go but pretty happy with the results

hopefully you all don't mind all the pics

have a good weekend guys,

What boots are in the upper left corner, and where from? Cognac cap toes on grant?

Thank you. The upper left corner are on the Barrie last in Tan Vegano Calf, exposed eyes, speed hooks, double waterlock from Winn Perry. I'm not sure if they will restock this, but I hope so because it's a killer makeup. http://www.winnperry.com/collections/alden/products/alden-double-waterlock-captoe-boot

Can you post a couple of extra pics of that boot? Is it on the waterlock sole? Did you get it from Alden SF? I think I saw it in person and really liked how it looked. Looks like it would be rugged and very versatile.

Certainly. It's on a double waterlock sole from Alden SF, yes. It's been extremely rugged and seems like it handles abuse better than any Alden in my stable. The smooth chamois is starting to develop a nice patina. I liked the leather so much I got it in rough out on two more makeups.

of course, the only size left  of those Vegeno Calf are in my size.. must.fight.the.urge.

unrelated, but today I ended up locked into a backyard at a property and had to drudge through 6-7 inches of snow today in my 975 crepes from jcrew..Sucked it up at the time and prepared for some elbow grease tonight. Got home, they looked perfect :slayer:

Did a swipe w/ micro polish cloth, laced them back up and back on the shelf they went. maybe crepe isn't too bad in inclement weather after all.

Turned out great Duck. Man, you have really made some nice pic's lately. Didn't you just grab some FB cigars a few months ago.

Thanks man.  I do not own a pair of Cigar Indies, so I couldn't say for sure which I would keep if forced to give up one.  As is the case most times on this thread, I'd keep both if you could!  :nodding:

Thanks Shawnc...from 0 to 2 in a few months.  Both impulse buys.  I really like the cigars.  I think we both have done some damage to our wallets lately  :)   Not sure I will venture into the lighter shades...but never say never on this forum!  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

@inn8chiro

If you sell those #8PCT and you regret it, you can replace them relatively easily with something very similar.
On the other hand, how often do cigar Indys come around???

Since you're already buying US-made boots, why not compliment them with US-sourced denim, made in the USA? Levi's Vintage Clothing and Tellason come to mind. RRL also uses American denim (Cone Mills) and makes them in the USA. There are many other brands, but those are just a few that I've had success with.

Anybody here know the difference among Alden's Lady calf vs Trapper calf vs regular calfskin? Never owned any Aldens in calf before.

Looks like I was able to grab the last Leffot Cooney boot in Snuff! I can't wait!
