Fellas,

I just received my 911's. I was inspecting them and found something disturbing. Is this grounds for an exchange? Definitely never have seen this before. I was so disappointed too cause I waited for the MA storm to die down :[ THe welt on the other shoe is uneven near where the heel connects to the sole(I forgot what this is called). Can this be fixed to be as strong structurally as if it wasn't there at all?

I've seen and own some rough welts, but not like that. I'd exchange.

Hi,

thanks for the response. I called the shop and he just said "they're made like that", which concerns me. I was saddened to see the shoes I would have worn right away come in a condition that was questionable(just that 1 spot). Is what he said legitimate/valid?

British,

Unfortunately, I have some pairs with welts that seemed to be screwed up like that, but this is in the bottom of acceptable or top of the unacceptable bucket if you were to ask me. Is that just an Alden 974? If so, I would request a refund on them and re-order as that is a stock model and can be purchased at any time.

Sorry for my slow response, but the way that you uploaded the pictures precluded me from viewing them on my phone.

No worries. Thank you for responding. I'm actually glad you did because you have the biggest collection here - and I have your instagram or whatever it is saved in my browser :] I would have copy and pasted but thought it would be harder to. I will do that for ease of use in the future.

It is the 908 and I will be calling the person who sold me the shoe tomorrow(only works saturdays).

Having owned so many pairs, what does it indicate to you that the shoe was shipped like that(probably not checked before hand in the warehouse in MA) and his response as the store manager?

A call for help. Thinking about pulling the trigger on a fransboone make of aldens and want to make sure I'll don't incur any additional costs on delivery. I remember a couple of weeks ago someone actually posted a picture of the form fransboone provided that prevented this from happening. Does anyone recall who posted this or can someone offer advice on how I can avoid the up charges?

I just received a package from Frans Boone a few weeks ago. I did not incur any additional fees upon receipt. Frans filled out the appropriate paperwork indicating that the contents were made in the US and being returned to the country of origin. I don't remember the actual form which was filled out but they know what to do.
For what it's worth, I had the package shipped to the hotel I was staying at in Maryland, not PA....
Hope that helps.
