Who does the 4060 color 8 Grant cap toe on commando sole? I thought it was TSM, but I only see leather soles.

If I can find that, I might replace my Leffot naval boots.

I love the lighter reverse welt stitching on these 975's..
Yup - great detail stitching on the 975. I'm planning to pick up a new 975 in the very near future.

Why not just keep that pair you're selling?  Just want that new shell smell?

I'm slowly changing all my Barrie last footwear to 10.5C - a better fit for me.

I don't wear leather sole shoes through at the edge, nor my cowboy boots either. Most shoes see typical wear at the far left edge on the heel of left shoe and far right edge of heel on right shoe. I go through heels somewhat fast but not soles.

My commando sole is only pulling loose at 1 stitch on 1 boot where the rubber meets the leather. I'm not worried at this point, but I do see some basis for concern as I wear them more. IMHO the stitches could be more recessed where the are only exposed to wear as the edge of the sole wears down. At they are currently the stitch wears 1st.. I'll try and take a picture when I wear them next time

See Ya

This is the winning suggestion for me right now. Just got my tube and applying tonight.

No need to convince me of this. My SO on the other hand.....

It seems like they went a little too long between treatments. I did just apply some neatsfoot oil recently. Hoping to pick up a beater pair of boots to rotate with.

Interesting for sure....I am going to inspect my commandos stitching just to gauge were they are.

one problem (if you wear wider sizes especially) is that the raised commando treads are too far inward from the edge sometimes, so the stitching hits the ground, which it shouldn't - at least not while the treads/'teeth' are still brand new

- but it's a problem only in one of my three half-commando pairs

Picked these up were a little beat up but the power of shell and a little elbow grease goes a long way
