Your Natty CXLs have hand stitched moc toes, correct? icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
It sure looks different than the toe of the Leffot pre-order Indy.

If I am just going to glue on a sole maybe it makes sense just to use these ones?

Sept/Oct of 14?!?
Haha yes I wear them a lot.

That's a hard one since they are all such beauties.  What's the rest of our collection like?

I'm curious to know if replacing the rubber soles by Alden is considered a full resole?  Seems it would be much easier to sew a new set of soles on instead of a complete break down for leather.

It does concern me that the commando sole seems pretty easy to wear through the threads.  I have a few pairs that have been worn less than 6 times and where the rubber sole meets the leather at the heel end its already worn through 1 stitch and the soles have no wear.

See Ya,

Steve

Do you wear regular leather soled shoes through at the edges too? seems really odd unless you are resting your feet on something like chair legs that is wearing them out

Or buy some shoe goo - the crossfitters are using that glue to make slam balls. Clean the areas that have separated, let dry, shoe glue, and see. I'm betting it'll hold for another year at least. Props for wearing them so hard.

Also, get one more pair of Aldens or the like and rotate them every other day. They need some down time.

@mdubs or others:

Who does the 4060 color 8 Grant cap toe on commando sole? I thought it was TSM, but I only see leather soles.

If I can find that, I might replace my Leffot naval boots.
