Try these - http://www.citishoes.com/custom_boots.htm - they are a little cheaper (assuming they have some in stock, their site is kind of crappy so it's hard to tell).  They look to be the same except for the lack of pull tab, but I've always read that shell pull tabs are a bad idea anyway.

I don't have my pair yet as its in the mail to my home. If I can swing by the shop again, I will try and take some more pics including a top down photo of them, maybe next to a TB pair.

These get abused from time to time. Four years and going strong.

Then some TLC..... That's as good as it gets.

Will Alden replace just a heel or do you have to recraft the whole shoe?

What size? After really wanting to believe, I've found my 11.5D Natural CXL NST boot just doesn't fit.

Sadly, I am off by 2.5 sizes. Thanks for offering, though!

Very nice, I'd take that TC pair, let them get beat up.  Plenty of other smells on the route to distract from the chamois.

They look awesome! Are those 403 or 405?

Looking at my options for #8 WT boots. Let me know if I have this correct :

Stock model has double leather and hooks
Madison Ave, citi shoes and AoC and maybe others have commando and hooks
Halleck and Brixton have double leather and all eyelets

Are there any other options out there with commando and all eyelets?

Thank you, gentlemen.

I always find the first few times putting on new boots with all eyelets sort of a pain. After that, the uppers begin to loosen up a bit and you usually remember to make sure the laces are nice and loose before you put them on and it's not much of an issue any more.

I have no problem getting my all eyelet NST boots on ...I originally pref speed hooks now prefer not to have them...I really beat the crap out of my boots do the speed hooks and the way I cross my legs, rest my feet on each other etc...

Using a lacing technique left over from my military days, I tie a figure-eight knot as close to the ends of the lace as possible.  With it, I can loosen the laces to their ends and easily get my feet in.  I also don't use the top eyelet.  On the other side of things, when I tie the laces, I pull the loops all the way to the knot and tuck them in the boot along my ankle.  They stay secured, and I avoid the loopy rabbit ears dangling out from underneath my cuffs.

Ack. I was the one that dropped due to getting in on the AOM Whiskey WTB. Sorry about that - had hoped the spot would've been filled.
