Hmmmmmm I don't know what's crazier:
The socks...
The carpet...
Or that these have already arrived from Frans Boone...

^ Nice shoes and IMO one of the best pics here in a long time (not to slight any of the many great pics that go up here everyday).

same for me

It depends on the boot.  The J Crew PCT boot feels the narrowest among my boots compared to the LWB.  I have a Black shell cap toe boot on barrie from AoC, and it fits every bit as roomy as my biggest fitting LWB.  My color 8 and ravello wingtip boots fit the same as my average LWB.

There definitely are some inconsistencies.

I agree completely.  For me the progression goes: LWB > J Crew PCT > AoC WT Boot.  The WT Boot is so narrow in the toe box that its a little uncomfortable towards the end of the day, but I believe (hope?) that it breaks in nicely for me.

Another snowy day in MI, so went with the 986s (which reside in the office permanently for days like today)

Also agree barrie shoes are a tad looser then boots but stay the same size in both.
Natty CXL today

Love these! Add commando to those and they are a grail boot for me, the perfect winter boot in my eyes. Will be holding out in hopes a retailer will make it.

That's not actually what I said/meant.  This is more like it...  (biggest fitting barrie shoes and boots to smallest/narrowest)

AoC Cap toe boot = Chrmxl LWB > standard shell LWB (color 8, ravello, black, etc...) = Wingtip Boots = PTBs > J Crew Perf Cap Toe Boots

They are one of my favorite boots. Thats the plan either commando or Dainite when the time comes. Any body happen to know if Bnelson does a commando similar to Alden?
