I ve finally decided to pull the trigger on the Kudu Ranger moc for personal easthetic reasons, Instead of the Alt Wien.

Beware Gent's, here another alden amateur question: after having worn out the Moc toe soles , can i have them replaced by commando soles, if every they exist (?)and work in a Van last fit, (just for me to get more durability) ?

is horween leather superior / more durable than Kudu/chukka? I don't even know if this question is relevant/ridiculous?foo.gif

Well I may not be the most capable to answer but when you re-sole if you have a cobbler do it then you can whatever sole you would like put on...Horween is a tannery that produces Kudu leather while a chukka is a style of ankle boot.

If you purchased Alden shoes then they will only re-sole with what was originally on the shoe while a cobbler like B.Nelson can re-sole it with whatever you want.

If he submits it in feb there is no way they will be in until the fall. And I think you only have to put like $100 down to reserve your spot (not sure if this policy has changed though)

You are correct, $100 non-refundable, but transferable deposit. I am thinking of putting a deposit down on the next run of LS Ultimate Indy's. Will at LS said they should be available by the end of the year, if not sooner. Anyway, that is a long time to wait!!!

It is only 100 dollars. There is a form you fill out with CC info, size, address, etc....

They contact when the boot arrives to collect the remainder.
