That's because they are shaped on the Trubalance last, like most Indys. You probably prefer the tanker make ups on the Barrie last which in comparison has a rounder toe box.

Thanks that would explain it...I will make sure I pay attention to that when finally getting my #8 NST boot

Just sent my #8 NST boots off to the cobbler to get brass eyelets put on, and the edges antiqued. I'm excited to see the results should be back within a week and a half!! And $105 total, not too bad.

Recent ebay find - Cigar tassels on Aberdeen. Previous wearer had feet too big for the size and thus stretched the sides out so now they don't hug my ankles like they should. Aside from that I am thrilled with my first cigar shell and first tasseled loafers!

Not familiar with a pair with contrasting eyelets or shoe laces, but I really love mine from TSM...

Will be doing the same when I get a pair.

If you hadn't mentioned the loose ankles I would have never noticed it. Very nice pick. Congrats.

nice find. for what its worth, alden aberdeen last has a disproportionally wide heel compared to the toe box. almost as wide as barrie of the same size imo

Nice find indeed!

I have to agree with Namor... those qualities make the aberdeen slip-on extremely difficult for me to size them comfortably without heel slip.
