I had always told myself that one pair of shell longwings was enough. Photos like this make me feel like a liar. Love the patina you have developed on these!
Thank you Sir. If they suit your style, why not have a pair for each day of the week? decisions.gif

My friend, I would recommend that you call Alden San Francisco and pose that question to them. As a local Alden retailer, they should have places to recommend. If you are looking to ship them, B. Nelson is one of the most reputable cobblers that I am aware of.

Typically these fabrics are of higher quality and heavier than non selvedge, but that's not always the case. Selvedge denim will usually come in a raw state which means there has been no washing of the denim. It's dyed indigo and made for you to wear with limited wash, this will produce fades in the denim individual to your own body.

All this has become pretty trendy in the past five years. Styleforum is a great resource for learning about raw denim and selvedge in general.
I wear Baldwin denim, LVC, and Naked & Famous. All solid.

Sweet, thanks for the info, I am in! I don't cuff my jeans, but I can definitely appreciate the quality and look of the "self-edge." I am gonna grab a pair of selvedge denim jeans.

and of course you know you can not wash them...LOL...but it seem the new era of denim wearers think they do not smell.... for real enjoy...I do not wear them but think they look sharp on the gents around here.

I don't wash mine until about 1.5 years in and that's assuming they got hard hard wear. Granted I have a pair that I wash really regularly and they might have the best fades yet. It's all really subjective, but that's kind of the fun part. Individuality and authenticity are extremely valued by my generation. Or should I say 'jeaneration' lol
