Thanks Dubs.  The boots have flown under the radar thus far.  With four pairs in black shell, ravello, and 2 in color 8, they are noticeable now.  I need more color 8... to her, color 8 boots all look the same!  :D

Happy Friday to all - finally getting around to photographing my cigar longwings with light edging. Got these several years ago from TSM. You can see the nice color variation developing, although they still look quite dark under less sunny conditions.

Outstanding Boot! Damn good looking. Come to think of it .. I am revamping my opinion on speed hooks. These I want now .. What last? If I bring another shell in this month she's likely to have me committed

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I had always told myself that one pair of shell longwings was enough. Photos like this make me feel like a liar. Love the patina you have developed on these!

On another note I got a new AE horse hair brush. It makes shining the shoes worse, like super cloudy?? Any ideas??

Those looks sick man. My AE brush does a good job. My goat hair brush is the only brush I have that seems to be ineffective. Just too damn soft! Curious, is your AE brush a made in USA one?

Yes first world problems...lol but the cigar indy pair got me pissed.
A few days back I wore some pants with a loose hem, speed hooks made my day pretty annoying. Other than that I can't say I've had any problems. The loose hem is really my own fault, not the hooks. Your post had me laughing until I read about the tear. My condolences....

I arrived at Rogue Territory denim after going through Nudies, Raleigh's, Eternal, Momo's and 3sixteen.  I still like Momo's and 3sixteen but my RT unsanforized slubby Stantons are incredible!

I will say that if one wants to spend less, like around $150, Epaulet makes a really good everyday selvedge denim.

Selvedge refers to the type of fabric used. It is woven on a narrow shuttle loom opposed to modern looms that can span the width of an entire building. A byproduct of being woven on a shuttle loom is the "self edge" of the product. It's a clean end to the fabric. This is usually visible of the outseam of the pant (via cuff). Typically these fabrics are of higher quality and heavier than non selvedge, but that's not always the case. Selvedge denim will usually come in a raw state which means there has been no washing of the denim. It's dyed indigo and made for you to wear with limited wash, this will produce fades in the denim individual to your own body.

All this has become pretty trendy in the past five years. Styleforum is a great resource for learning about raw denim and selvedge in general.
I wear Baldwin denim, LVC, and Naked & Famous. All solid.
