Anybody here go ever go with the Barrie length (down a 1/2 size from Brannock) on the Leydon last for the unlined suede chukkas?

When I visited Alden SF they said they usually recommend people go with the Barrie size (1/2 size down from Brannock) and one up in width to accommodate the aggressive narrowing at the toebox (in the height and width). But from searching the forum it seems most people usually go TTS in length.

Not me, I am a 7.5D Barrie and wearing my unlined chukkas on Leydon today. They fit fantastic in an 8E.

And are these torn, right out of the box, where the lacing part joins the shoe like every other pair of Aldens you have ever bought?

They look really nice from the pictures you provided.

Fine chukkas Burzan!  I think there are retailers that will only order E widths and recommend the tts lengths when they sell them.  Just like Burzan has his.

Those are them, lighting turns them a bit green. They were pristine when you sold them to me

This is only their second time out since picking them up from you but the streets are dry and I figured why not.

I wear a 10.5C in Barrie and my pair of 11D Leydon last NST color 8 shoes fit perfect -- among my most comfortable shoes. 10.5 Leydon would be too short for me.
