Same Aberdeen last but standard D width for these.
Tassels I go down to C in width
A question: AoC doesn't keep waiting lists for rare shell, nor does Adam do preorders. As far as I am aware, he doesn't do any advertising of any kind. How, then, does one actually get rare shell from AoC?
Thanks Mike, really depends on the lighting. In my office they look like an olivey brownvello. In the natural light though they look more like traditional Ravello, I love them no matter what lighting they are in.
I was told to watch this thread for announcements (presumably from other members) and then contact him. But, I've been told he doesn't tend to order above a sz 11 in most cases, yet other members have procured large sizes.
I've come to the realization that I'll just have to look elsewhere.
From MY experience, unless you are buds with Adam you are are not getting rare shell.
Thanks. My variation on the mac method:
1. brush vigourously to "warm" up the leather
2. use an old white t shirt and moisten it and wring water out. Make sure you have a full wood shoe tree underneath. Wrap your thumb around tshirt and rub on the leather. Really press into it. You will see the alden finish transfer over to the white shirt. At this point, the shell will look cloudy.
3. brush again and buff up with a microfiber cloth.
4. repeat as necessary.
Solid process C. That's essentially what you do with the Deer bone but without the oils released from the bone. There are some that use a spoon rather than the bone or your thumb. Well done my friend!
