They tend to crease a bit more than other styles, but I love these shoes.

I'm a fan of the nst.
I was thinking cigar tanker next but I may prefer the cigar nst blucher since I can wear to office.

@mdubs - they're the recent cigar LWB from TSM. I didn't want that to affect anyone's opinion. smile.gif I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Nice, what size did you end up going with?

Who else got in on Epaulet's pre-orders?

The Natural Innsbruck Indy sounds great, but I ended up ordering the Alpine Grain captoe boot. Barrie last + Commando has been perfect for fit and comfort for me with my Tankers so I really couldn't turn it down.

I'm curious what they might get in terms of turnaround, being that these aren't exactly rare upper materials and basically "stock" makeups for Epaulet.

Its the typical Alden Turnaround time. No quicker.

Sorry for asking again, but is there a place that I can put my name on a list for a Color 8 wingtip boot with antique edge?

I wear a 9 D in the barrie.

Others may be able to chime in, but not that I am aware of. Only 2 vendors I have seen this boot from is Unionmade and Epaulet.

for both my grant 9D, and Barrie 8D. i dont feel the tip of my big toe touching the top of the toebox, its only the 4th and 5th toes that are in contact with the side of the toebox.

Earlier in the thread Tifosi recommended that you try going out a width.  So, 8E in Barrie and 8.5E in Grant respectively.  What is throwing me off though is how well that PA fits you in a 9D...

It is possible that you may want to go 8.5E on Barrie and 9E on Grant.  The BEST option is to go into an Alden dealer who has many different styles and sizes and get fitted properly.

Are there any retailers that will do Alden GMTOs or single MTOs? If so, what is the minimum order? Apologies if this question has already been answered numerous times in the thread.

I'd like to suggest an Aberdeen Tassel loafer in Hunter Green, such as this one (which is on the less sleek Copley last):

converse im either a 9 or 9.5US
allen edmonds park avenue in 9D, this pair i get the same toe pain i experience with the aldens.
chippewa rugged boots (model 20065) in US 9D - this fits me the best among the aldens and AE - no pain in the toe whatsoever.

dont have a local retailer for Alden that i can pop down to try sadly.

I would also second going with a wider last. I have the same problem where I experience pain in my pinky toe on my left foot - the other foot has no issues. I wear a 9D on the Hampton last and an 8.5 on the Tru Balance last. I figured with the Tru Balance last the pain issue would've gone away, but it hasn't. Either way, i'm stuck with both of my Aldens. I think I just have irregular feet where one is larger than the other.

I recently went out and purchased a pair of Thorogood 6" moc toe boots and tried on an 8.5D, 8.5EE and 9D and all were very loose, but I also have a high instep and felt discomfort when trying these sizes on. I finally tried on an 8EE and lo and behold, they fit perfectly and I haven't experienced any pain in my pinky toe or with my instep. In short, you would be better off trying a wider last on in person. You could be an 8.5E or an 8E.
