And I am with BenLeaman, I would wear them and if it turned out bad after some wear. Contact the reseller or Alden at that time and I sure they will take care of you.

Thanks for your help.

@mdubs - they're the recent cigar LWB from TSM. I didn't want that to affect anyone's opinion. smile.gif I'll post some pics tomorrow.

ST, that was a pretty wise decision. Most of us will do a little more for our exotic "Klondike Bar".

Well, you know you love them because they are amazing, right? Continue to enjoy them my friend! BTW, you are developing some nice fades on your jeans, although, I personally like the cleaner look of the new jeans... Go figure.

Whiskey Thursday was worth a try right?
Visiting Kathy is the only reason I'm going to DC tomorrow.
I'll send her some love for you.

Both of those look terrific. Would you know if those natty CXL are the old ones made on the Leydon Last? I love that particular model...

Natty CXL is on Berrie.

Are there any pictures in the wild of Winn Perry's CDI tanker?

http://www.winnperry.com/collections/alden/products/alden-tanker-boot-d4912-1

360 welt, NST boot on a rubber sole with all eyelets? Seems really interesting (and someone similar to the we-will-never-see-it-again conservation boots) and I'd love to see pictures if anyone has them!

They also did a NST boot (with pull tabs) in all eyelets in tobacco chamois.

Did I miss when these were discussed?

Nice NSTs. Says they're on the Trubalance last, I wonder if that's true? Haven't seen any NSTs on Trubalance before, doesn't seem like the best last (aesthetically) for an NST boot. Would be interested in those if they were on Barrie.

By looking at the side view and the outsole, they do look like Trubalance last. Tankers on TB last is not new. In fact, The Tankers of Alden SF are always on TB last, I purchased one before but have them sold already becuase they look to bulky. I think Tankers look much better in Barrie.

They are of the barrie last and the grant last. both are cordovan if it matters.

In the Barrie last, they are a pair of 8D and in the Grant last, a 9D.
For these two pair of boots, when i wear them to walk, after some distance I will feel pain in my 4th toe ( The biggest toe being the first, counting down) from it rubbing the insides of the boots toebox.

So I'm wondering what approach to the sizing should i be looking at to avoid this - a half size bigger or a width increase? Love my aldens, want to get my third pair, and from then on all in the correct sizing hopefully.

still a 50/50 chance of it going wrong, since im left with 2 options, up half a size or going from D width to E... hopefully u guys can eliminate that chance of it going wrong for me..

thanks.

converse im either a 9 or 9.5US
allen edmonds park avenue in 9D, this pair i get the same toe pain i experience with the aldens.
chippewa rugged boots (model 20065) in US 9D - this fits me the best among the aldens and AE - no pain in the toe whatsoever.

dont have a local retailer for Alden that i can pop down to try sadly.

above are my park avenue.

these are my barrie 8D.

for both my grant 9D, and Barrie 8D. i dont feel the tip of my big toe touching the top of the toebox, its only the 4th and 5th toes that are in contact with the side of the toebox.

Yes, the sole do look wide. Didn't know about TB Tankers, thanks for enlightening me. A day you learn something new is a good day.
