Well done!  I almost pulled the trigger, but wasn't sure from the pics how good the condition was.  Are they as nice as you were hoping?  Congrats and enjoy!

They are. I need to get some VSC or Saphir Reno and get to work on them a bit. They are now my go to business shoe.

Nice grab.
I would recommend using alden natural boot cream for older shell.
Saphir Reno works well, but dries shell and gives creases a white hazy look.

Personally I will never buy an unlined CXL , here's a comparison pic between a used shell PTB and a new unlined CXL ptb, I took the pic while trying the CXL it Was new never worn.

So you recommend the Alden creme over VSC too?

I think you mean this one?

That's amazing... Could cxl have been restored like that?

Hallecks today / double leather sole

I love #8 more and more everyday. I pull this boot to wear more often than my others for some reason. Rainy damp day here in the desert.

I have not used VSC. I used to swear by Reno, but prefer alden boot cream now.

One of Alden's best for sure.

Your king tassels are magnificent. I really like the Brooks version with the foxing. Well done sir!
