I did this experiment as I decided I wanted the 990 or Leffot Dover for my #8 PTB.

Here's what 2+ months (iirc) or so in a window will do.

Faded #8 is most attractive, IMO. More character than a new pair of Ravello.

Thank you for sharing these with us. They look great in my opinion!

Alci, looking good in your boots, sorry that they have to go through this (with you)... :-)

Nice Boots Inn8, the Brass is a great addition. Not surprised at all that these are from Frans. :-)

Looking great as always DV!!! :-)

Those boots are still looking good, continue to take care of them and they should continue to last a while. And yes, you can get away with more on a Suede Boot for sure...

Those are terrific, and that is a great shot! Hope that you are enjoying the snow safely!

Henry, those are great also! Hope that you are enjoying the snow safely!

9741 - Black shell (short)-wingtip balmoral (Tremont))

9071 - Black Shell cap toe bal  (Hampton)

9016 - Black Shell perforated cap toe bal (Hampton)

Alden on Madison's semibrogue Black Shell on Hampton (similar to AE's strand design - medallion cap toe bal)

I could be talked into color 8, or black calf, I suppose.  Or maybe I should just stick to bluchers and pick up something new and interesting.  :confused:

Thanks in advance...

@sevenfoldtieguy

i would look for the black shell bals on the tremont

Happy Friday all!  My Cigar boots have been pulling snow/ice duty and need some TLC.  Maybe I should send them to the Dubs Spa for some R&R.  I'm sure they'd come back lookin' fresh and clean! :)
