$96 would only be if they are 2 eyelet chukkas.

It is simple really for me...would I pay $150 to MTO a shoe(if the program existed) to get a specific aspect done? On a shell Boot yes..so for me my 2015 purchase is the Tanker that just dropped in NY...of course my size is spoken for but If and when I get that boot my dream make up is with Brass Eyelets...so yes I would pay to get that done by B Nelson or whoever since if I could order it that way from Alden and pay an upcharge I would anyway.

Great minds think a like! Mine should show up in a couple days. Leffot didn't have a time line yet on the LWB. Really want them for the rest of the wet weather this winter.

I've ditched my old lacing patern for a equally simple patern (I never like bar lacing), and I'm convinced this really pulls alden boots together. I've noticed Leather Soul is really excellent at displaying their boots and shoes. Looking through their pictures I've noticed a couple consistencies.... 1. They use great angles. 2. They lace everything the same way (unlike leffot and other retailers) 3. I want all their shoes

Without further ado...

Older lacing on the left. Newer "leather soul" lacing on the right. I'm very pleased

Any chance of a better pic side by side and an explanation of how to lace? Looks great.

Love the blue suede with brass eyelets MrDV, wish Leffot would bring these back.

Got some AF53 last night, very clunky and tank-like mostly due to the TB last and size. These will work great for daily "shit-kicker" boots!

I just called Leffot to check on the indy naty cxl. They have one available. 11.5D I believe (I sighed deeply when it wasn't an 8.5D so I may have got the exact size wrong)

I kept waffling on those 6 eyelet chukkas I picked up from the Bureau because I was worried about them looking clunky. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them because they weren't clunky at all. Check out the pics I posted 2 days ago. I agree that yours however do look clunky.

I still prefer bar lacing, but I might prefer your new lacing to your old lacing.

It's not more difficult, but it's different... Even if it was significantly more difficult, lacing couldn't take longer than a minute and that's a worthy trade off for how much better it looks to me.

^^ I do see the difference, now. It does look marginally better. It does look like it would be a bit more difficult to pull tight. Is that the case?

P.S. That's an interesting signature you have there.

It's a subtle change, honestly something probably no one will ever notice but me. Granted, if I were interested in catching the attention of other people I would be better advised to spend my $700 on some gaudy shoes with an Italian name on them. It's the subtle things that matter to me. Pulling them tighter isn't more difficult. I just pull them from the second to row from the top, then the top, continue to speedhooks. A pretty simple.

Hahahaha, yes, yes it is.

Inn8, enjoy your wingtip boots and snow. The Commando sole is definitely a good idea provided those weather conditions.

ATL, those are terrific. The full-strap is nice as it can be worn with a suit or more casually. Enjoy them today!

Cool. If tightening them isn't anymore difficult I'll give it a try next buffing. I just thought it may be more difficult cause it wraps around the eyelet more than just coming through it.

It's funny because I always thought that LS's lacing looked different, but I never really investigated.
