Office and natural lighting on my Whiskey LHS this morning. I don't normally wear loafers with socks but these are too nice to be packed away until the Spring.

Yeah it looks great on it and makes it truly a tanker now with that welt.

They are out of 9D for the Alden NY #8 tanker boots, in case anyone was planning on inquiring.

Yes the leffot version is far far superior so whoever grabbed my 9.5d from Madison should kindly cancel. wink.gif

They're both great models. The Tankers with antique edging are a little more casual, and if you want a casual boot that can also be dressed up they're hard to beat. I really love the "Indy" on Plaza (Dr Jones), though, so That would be my number one choice. A third alternative is the NST boot on Plaza that J Gilbert was supposed to run. Anyone knows what happened to those?

Does anyone find LWB maintenance difficult? Deer boning and buffing around all the design is proving to be quite difficult for me. Any tips?

Yes! I hate it. Would also be interested in tips.

I think @mdubs should offer a mail-in service!

I have to condition my Ravello LWBs today. The vamp has patches of roughness that appear to be dry. Some Lexol then GlenKaren high wax polish should work, I think.

Just bumping this as I also had forgotten about the preorder...did manage to hop onto the LS alpine grain wingtip boot, though. Snagged the last 10.5!

I would call them. In my experience with them they don't take kindly to anything unless they're looking in the mirror, but you did put down a deposit so you're entitled to an answer.
