Speaking of Naval boots, I just snapped a few pictures of mine. I know I share them a fair bit, but I'm just so excited to see sunlight again!

Quote: Color 8 (because that's what I have!). But to pick from the catalog, I would say that the best if you are wearing shorts would be tan suede. With trousers, ravello or whiskey. If you could get your hands on some navy suede, those would be aces high.

Edit: I do wear them sockless. I'm not comfortable wearing them with shorts, so I need suede dovers to fill that spot.

nevermind. i used a toothpick to raise it a little and then used tweezers to lift them out. they came out fully but the sides were a bright worn in cordovan color so i used another toothpick and applied colored wax into the holes and now they look perfectly fine!!

the other boot had all the perforated holes empty but this one had 2 holes that werent. is this a rare occurrence?

My Ravello LWB from the last DC run have one perforated hole like that. I haven't removed the center, but may try now that it appears to be easy.

Also on that same lwb, there is 2 smaller holes missing in the 2 x 1 pattern. No big deal. Its on the left rear portion so i never see it unless i look for it.

maybe sherman brothers, but not quite sure what they have in stock.
not a lot of choices for aldens in philly

Not really anything for Aldens.
Sure we have Sherman Bros. They are really nice guys that definitely like to discuss Aldens, especially if you go in wearing rare shell

but they offer nothing special and the downtown location is rarely stocked that well from my experience.
Only other store I know of is Tobox because they stock Saphir products.

Exactly what Ben said. Philly is not that great for shoe shopping/browsing.

thank you gentlemen. seems I'll be able to save some money this weekend then, or let the GF spend it

This flaw is the only noticeable one, but it is damn annoying.. on the side of one of the boots. A black line running across part of the boot.

Just love Whiskey on the rocks!

Hot freakin FIRE!
Great shoes sir.
Best Alden loafer to wear sockless during the summer?

Ravello lhs. (For me, tan suede ptb dovers)
I hear you. I thought you used reverse strategy and let the masses know that those makeups are not popular lol
My prediction: 4 minutes for Leffot Naval boots and 11 minutes for NST.

Naval under a minute. That's w the San Diego chapter sitting this one out. I also feel the nst will be there a bit longer.
Naval boot or the Epaulet color 8 Alt Wien boot, what do you guys think? Or both...
-D

I'm asking myself the same question. As of 2pm today, I will pass on naval boots because I'm expecting the alt wein boots from Epaulet.
Whiskey WTB from AoM.

Bummer and completely unacceptable... I know someone who will ship them back for you if they're a size 10.
