I'm currently working on a new pair of Alden for BB LHS's (unlined). They are an 8.5E and I'm a 9.25E generally. Length is perfect, but my high instep is giving me a bit of grief. They are getting better with each wearing, however. It's a known issue - just Google Alden LHS tight or Alden LHS stretch and you will get a good number of threads on Ask Andy. The consensus seems to be that the shoes will eventually become wonderful - so we'll see.

use the method for breaking in shoes. from my experience shell stretchs,if any, very minimally

Almost certainly #8. this is the epaulet brixton boot.
is there another seconds list floating around? They've been great about sending me mine in the past but i have not received one today...

+1 this looks just like my #8 Brixton boot. If this is going for anything less than retail, definitely pull the trigger, whether they say it's Color 4, Color 8, or Color 80. I got the seconds e-mail last time too but I haven't seen anything yet today either. Have a lot of others seen a new seconds e-mail today?

Poena, I'd send them back due to the indents and speed hook.

Hi all. New here and in pursuit of my first pair of Alden's.

I primarily want a pair to wear with a suit, but like the rugged look of some of the boots.

What would you all recommend/ feel is your most versatile pair of dress orientated Alden's?

Cheers.

welcome to the forum! i would not go for a boot but would go with either color 8 lwb or color 8 ptb
