My AF53s are starting to fade from eggplant to brown around the laces ... a couple more years and I think they're going to be a gorgeous brown.Originally Posted by Morgan
Color 8 really does some interesting things as it ages- that is for sure- esp if it is exposed to sun- supposedly. Do you have any pics of your AF53s? I have some AF79s on order...alas, delivery is in 2011. I would be willing to wait a good while for some AF53 in cigar....

Btw, I saw a Roy Boot in the wild yesterday--the first time I've seen the boot in person. It attracted my eye immediately and I was like, f**k, what are those? Then I noticed the gray crepe soul and knew. They're really sharp.

Roy Boot is nice. A step below the Indy in my opinion, but a good secondary boot. Ive never seen anyone wearing it though. For a dressier boot Im planning on going the Crockett Jones route, my Indy will cover the casual boot realm.
