Yes, I do. Do you own any Redwing? I have the GT - awesome boots.

I have Chromexcel Indy and Tan Suede Longwings on order. I just sold a pair of 904s.

Red Wing Boots are not crappy at all. The Timberlands I had were crappy, and they lasted me 10 years. My Red Wings will probably last me a lifetime, as I only rotate them once a week.

I can only afford one pair of cordovan shoes right now and I'm trying to decide between the longwing or PTB in #8. Any thoughts? Which is more versatile?

Depends on what you already have. Longwings are kind of a classic though. I think I am picking up a pair these next couple of weeks.

I agree, I get a lot more use out of my longwings.

Just get whichever you like best. They're both nice shoes.

I personally think longwings are over-rated in terms of versatility, though, esp for young people.

Not sure where they originally came from. I bought them new from Greekgeek. Very nice but I'm just a boot guy. If I can sell them I'm going for the next run of the Plaza wingtip boot from LS.

Yes. You can find GreekGeek's original post in the B&S forum too.
