Four pairs of Aldens do amount to serious coin. Don't let the big timers around here fool you, nor those enjoying employee discounts.

PTB's are one of the few pairs of Aldens that always look better on someone elses feet. Sadly, never my own.

Your shoes always have the best shine but this is beyond your usual shine. These shoes have an angelic shine and depth.

You cannot look from above. Take some pictures from at least a few feet away. If you do not like them then see about PTB's on plaza last.

Excellent. What last are they on, barrie? Doesn't look too blobby if they are!

After some heavy reading through a substantial amount of this thread I have come to two conclusions...

1) I am a complete idiot for never owning a pair of Alden's

2) michaelw has the best sock collection I have ever seen.

I just received a pair of Ravello Chukka's on the Barrie Last. Out of the box, they felt and looked a bit wide for my feet. Instead of following my instinct and returning them, I wore them a full day of travel through numerous airports. This means that I can't return them...oh well.
Does anyone carry a Ravello Chukka on the plaza last? I love the Ravello, especially on the Chukka but would rather have a better fitting shoe than what the Barrie is.
