However, IMO having one set in every pair of shoes seem quite excessive and expensive.

The local Nordstrom always have a set on sale for around $20 BTW.

I get them at Nordstrom Rack for around $14. Same exact brand as Alden.

Those natural chukkas are a WORK BOOT style... along the lines of a Red Wing. Those soles are the Goodyear wedge as found on many, many other work boots.
That's the style. They aren't meant to be dressy.

I love them!

Just got off the phone with Bryan at Leather Soul and ordered the Cap Toe Boot on the Plaza last! Happy Early Birthday To Me!
BTW, Bryan was great to talk with and very informative!

Please someone post pictures. Any comments regarding versatility will also be greatly appreciated-- I found some previous posts of Ahab where he inquired about their versatility but it seems no one had replied.
OK I am giving up, yet I am seeking a last chance... At least people who saw them in the Leffot store may comment on them??

I feel your pain. I've been looking for a shot of the George Boots, in action, for quite some time now. They're like Big Foot or something, only spoken of in folklore and on Leather Soul and
The Shoe Mart websites. Depressing to say the least.

I have posted pictures of these when they were new but figured I would post an update after 10-15 wears. Hopefully it will be helpful. White suede saddle shoes.

I saw them today. In person they are just plain gorgeous. I don't know how versatile they are... I think it would just be more of an emotional thing. If you love them, just get them. I think they're cool!

so i've seen a bunch of pictures of alden's tan suede, and each picture shows a different color. can someone post a picture that shows the true color? i've seen some pics that look extremely light and some that border on snuff suede in what i'm assuming is very bad light.

can someone point me to a "true" color picture?

thanks

Going to be hard to capture 'true' color for a variety of reasons....in addition to the lighting, the camera itself is in question with the settings, and also if the picture has been post processed in any way.

A question for those who own multiple pairs of Aldens...do you get the Alden bags with all of them? I only have 2 pairs as of now. The first one didn't come with them and the 2nd pair did. Both came from the same seller.

Alden offers a tan, snuff and brown suede. (i think)
from what i remember, and unfortunately what doesn't seem to currently be available, the chukka the shoemart offers is available in all three variations, all with accurate pics on their website. maybe email them and ask for pic of their tan?
