I like the naked eyelets. They work surprisingly well. I'd also like this style of shoe in #8 on a different last (Plaza or Hampton) with the commando sole.

I love the suede shortwings. These look casual and comfortable, appropriate for many situations. I'm going to have to consider.

Re: the natural chromexel: I agree that the color doesn't look particularly nice when they are new. But is the idea that with time and wear they take on a different, darker color? Or are you supposed to deliberately darken them?

Anyone buying any of the natural chromexel models?

I am.
I have a pair of similar shoes on order which are supposed to ship in 2 weeks. I'm excited! I've seen a swatch of the leather in person and I think it looks great. It is NOT a dressy leather in any way but I think it will work well as a boot or a "work shoe". The version I'm waiting on is the Indy shoe but the sole and welt will be a little different from the one in the picture.

I've been wanting some variation of an Indy shoe and I think this leather will work well for it. Plus, I "designed" the version I'm talking about and that makes me VERY excited. It's my fist one and I hope it looks good!

How does the sizing go for those belts? I'm thinking of getting one of those but not sure what size I should get.
