Damn, very nice. Price seems pretty fair, especially compared to current Indy pricing.

Just a quick question about wax polish & Alden shells. I'm using Alden's #8 cordovan wax for the #8's, brown for the cigars, and black for the blacks. I know it's just Kiwi, but I use the Aldens because they're only 4.50 from Shoemart and I like the little glass tins, so sue me!

My question is with the three remaining colors:
Whiskey - I plan to get Alden tan wax, is this right?
Ravello - what should I use? I've read Kiwi mid-tan, but someone reported darkening with that polish.
Mahogany - same question, with really no idea what to do since nobody's been talking about polishing mahogany in several years and I just started wearing a brand new pair somewhat late to the party!

leyton last vs barrie last in sz 8.5D

Which one runs smaller/bigger? Which one is the closest to a Euro 41?

If I'm a true US sz 8.5 / Euro 41, is a Leydon last in sz 8.5 going to be correct?

^ The Leydon and the Aberdeen don't have much toe room. If your foot is broad at the ball of the foot and narrow at the ankle, those lasts will probably not work for you in any size. That's where the Barrie and the Trubalance come in. There is a logic to offering shoes on different lasts. The point is not to make you learn arcane sizing formulas but to have a shoe available that will fit your foot well.

I'm not sure if I would lump the Leydon with the Aberdeen. Both are narrower in the toe box, but I have found that Aberdeen to be much more narrow than the Leydon. My width falls between a D and E. The Leydon last works for me however the Aberdeen is not even an option.

Suede cap-toe boots from LeatherSoul. Thanks Tom!

I would buy the new Chromexcel version if it didn't have a 360 degree welt.

The last 2 pairs of Alden boots posted from LS are stunning. I am definitely afraid to visit the store at BH now.

Ordered the Chromexcel Plaza Wingtip Boot, they were selling out fast and I didn't want to miss it. Will post pics upon arrival.
