Bespoke suits or shoes? - Page 3

Yesterday I tried my first pair of bespoke shoes: it's an incredible feeling, apart from the look.
I know the feeling. The first time I put on my first pair of bespoke shoes, it was a revelation. The fit is so precise. The foot sort of slides in at angle, and as you twist the shoe to get it on, a lot of the air inside rushes out, until you hear a faint little "pop" as the foot settles in place. It's like putting a molded sculpture back into its mold.

It is a small artisan. Anyway I never felt something like that with an RTW shoe. Manton expressed it very well. The fit is perfect, so comfortable, you feel like a glove. And when you put your feet inside you feel just like Manton said: the foot is locked not because of the laces, you could forget to lace; it is locked inside from the bottom of the shoe, because the shape is perfect, there is no friction on the heel like I usually have with RTW.
