Even a 0.2" difference is sgnificant for me. Or maybe I'm just anal about these kind of things.

Would that extra cm or half an inch really make much of a difference in terms of the taper? My best fitting pair of pants has a leg opening of 6.875".

I'm probably going to have to get them hemmed to a 28" to 28.5" inseam if I want to wear them with a single cuff too. Would that mean I'd have to get them tapered regardless of what the leg opening measures if a want a tapered fit?

1/2" is insignificant really - if you taper them anyway then you can have whatever leg opning you want.

Raw will shrink though so soak them or wash them before you cut them, or you might not get them on again!smile.gif

Yes, a fraction of an inch makes a difference in fit. I would not have my jeans tapered. These jeans are designed a certain way and when you change the design it will probably look unbalanced. Get a pair that is a good fit for you right away.

A half an inch is actually a full inch, given that you're measuring them flat. But I think it wouldn't make much of a difference., it sort of depends on how the thighs fit.

Also if you are hemming that much you'll want to measure where that would fall, so your actual leg opening might be as much as 8-8.5" unless they fall straight from the knee.

It is difficult to find raw japanese denim in a good slim tapered cut -- I'm actually not sure that's where I'd look for a cut you describe, seems like "fashion" brands like Dior, APC, Acne do it better, though you are compromising on "interesting" denim fabrics a little.

You're right, they absolutely do, maybe more of a slim tapered -- as do a few others, but I'm not sure they have a sub-7" hem like Dior 17cm.

Yes, it depends if you're more into fashion cuts or "interesting" Selvedge Japanese denim...me the latter lol:)

If youre looking for japanese denim but dont mind them being not a Japanese brands look at Rogue Territory sk.

I dont really like jeans with a leg opening of more than 7" so I went with these and Im really happy with them. I feel like with the sk you get a fit simialr to the fashion cuts (apc, acne) but the quality of a heritage type brand.

But they ship anywhere, the service is great - if they don't fit they'll exchange them - what more do you want?smile.gif

Given the pair is unworn, unwashed/not soaked and not altered, yes.

The right size, cheers. smile.gif

I shot them a mail before my post here and didn't receive an answer. I tried it again after the post and this time I received a friendly and helpful answer.
Seems as BiG will get a restock later this month, I'm in New York in mid April and will get a pair as long as they fit decently.
Thanks!

Could you comment on what they'll be restocking specifically? I missed out on ordering a pair of PBJ xx-012 in size 30 from denimio when they got their stock, and was hoping they might also get more jeans if BiG is getting more jeans.
