Here are my 003's, 38 OW. Thoughts on the fit?

I'm digging it, the only thing that 'pops out' is that major bulge in the fly. No complaints though.

Cross post from Alden thread:

Fit of the day - xx009s after a 3rd soak and some biking. Still cold though in northern Utah, so layers + Barbour as well.

Like this silhouette so much more than the tighter models

I was thinking of getting a pair of samurais, but this pbj cut looks nice. So the XX005 and XX007 share the same cut, what's the XX005 equivalent for the XX009 cut?

005 & 007 = same cut. One standard indigo, one indigo weft/weave.

003 & 009 = similar case. xx003 will be the standard indigo in the relaxed taper. xx006 is the similar cut again in Neo-Vintage that starts out and fades lighter.

Great, thanks for the clarification.

Damn... another crotch blowout on my 011's... Third time they're going for repairs now!

I'd noticed the crotch of my denim become softer than the rest of the jean, but had convinced myself it still had life to it. Now not so sure...
Is this more regular just for you, or a reoccurring theme for PBJ denim?

It's probably just me. I've gotten crotch blowouts on other denim I've owned, but three times is the most I've had to repair any pair... FYI, I've worn this pair almost daily for the past 14 months (1 wash), although I'm not that active in them (don't bike or anything and I work a desk job that I drive to...). It might also be because this pair is a bit lower rise than other pairs and the daily wear of going up and down the stairs at work (no elevator) and home stresses them a bit more...

I'll probably post some pics of them when they are back

Not the best pics... Maybe I'll get more detailed pics of the denim afterwards... Colour on the denim there is pretty accurate but looks a lot better outside in the sun biggrin.gif

Could also be that youre not washing them. Cant find the exact reference and someone can probably give a better explanation but i think the dirt and oils that accumulate in the fabric are weakening it and the dirt is abrasive, making it more prone to busting.

Actually I heard that from my friend as well... I'm planning a wash this weekend and will probably start washing these guys once a month or so from now on
