You know that often slim tapered jeans taper from the knee to the leg opening, do you? What do you think happens, when you shorten the leg from knee to hem? The hem gets wider... So, no, they aren't going to magically taper again after a wash.

Haha, yea, second the post above. They are already washed so the shrinkage is out. The fit isn't going to just transform back to the original state now that you have altered them. Your best bet is taking them to a tailor who specializes in denim and having them taper them for you.

How much will the one wash stretch? Still roughly an 1 inch?

Yes, they do stretch out quickly, but shrink back when washed

Hope this helps:-)

They are the xx-012's...same thing though.

Not old at all yet(4 months worn everyday) but with 2 washes now because I have ocd. I felt like they got dirty because of where I was so I needed to wash them to make myself comfortable sitting on my couch.

Atsui is officially carrying PBJ and both these models will arrive in Atsui's first shipment, ETA Friday 10-31-2008.

Purple face is one of my all time favourites - will probably kop another pair at some point:)

Sometimes you get more sensible replies that way!!!

PBJ purple face need a new zipper - I'll get that done next time I need jeans altered - I've got 3 pairs on order but I want a new ring, so I'm trying to persuade myself to postpone one pair so that I get the ring:)
