Hi guys, need some help with picking the right size for a pair of xx-007's. I tried on the raws in size 31 and 32 today.. The 32 seemed really big on me, but the people working at Dutil seemed to think it was the right size. My true waist measures 33" (taken 2inches below the navel). I am 5'7, 158lbs, with somewhat muscular legs. For reference, a good fitting pair of jeans are my Ande Whall Cougars sz.31, and I usually wear sz.30 in washed denim as well.

I brought home the 31s, but feel like I should probably go back for the 32s? Just to be clear, I don't want these jeans to fit me "tight" anywhere really.

Any help is much appreciated!

I own a pair of the 005s which are basically the same cut as the 007s. I sized up one on mine to accommodate for the slim thighs, and since your legs are rather muscular I'm thinking you should do the same. Plus, if you're going for a not too tight fit, the 32 sounds like the much better choice to me.

if you dont want tight fit anywhere PBJ is the wrong brand to go to. theyre known for slimness especially in thigh for their main cut

Idk, it depends on where you draw the line between slim and tight. To me, the 005 and 007 cut isn't really tight at all. Sure they're slim (once again, especially around the thigh) but there are definitely tighter cuts out there.
The fits you've posted are pretty accurate to me, and if that's the cut you're going for then stick with the 007s.

correct. for me as well, the pbjs are perfect in the thigh but are too tight for some other people. also in the top block , it is more unisex than other men's jeans meaning, it is lower waisted, lower back waisted, and cut more sleeker than most men's jeans.

also, the thihg measurements on the pbjs on BiG are not accurate i have known from i nthe past experience.

they are like an inch smaller than actually listed.

If you wear them at the waist, they'll be tight around the ass (not necessarily a bad thing) unless you cheat like fit 3 and sag them (don't like the sagged look with PBJs). I'm assuming those guys sized up 2-3 because I went TTS and they are certainly in the realm of skinny jeans (XX-010)

+1. if you want baggy jeans, you should try another brand. you're going to look wonky if you size up to the fit you want.

I picked up the raw XX-004 today. Breaking it in now. I've never tried raw denim before so I thought I'd give it a shot. I hope it is worth the trouble. The PBJ do have quite an interesting slubbiness to the material.

these are size 31, is a size 32 soaked going to fit pretty spot on to a size 31 raw?

I would keep the ones that you have, yours already fit rather loosely for that cut, plus PBJs are notorious for stretching back out to raw size (and beyond).

they will likely stretch back out to that size after a soak and you wear them for a day or so. i think that fit is just perfect so i would keep them as long as they fit okay in the thighs with a little extra room and you are okay with the fit everywhere else, which only you can answer.

good pictures and fit imo...

ya im undecided yet, BiGs website says the thigh [raw] on a pair of 31s is 12", these 31s measure 11.5"

and i dont want from the knee down [calves] to be crazy skinny, that area stretches less than the waist/thighs
