Peal & Co Pebble Grain Chukka Boots at BB - Good sale price? - Page 20

They are made by Alfred Sargent.

I've had two pair. The first were basically worn to death. The ones I've been wearing over the past couple of years have gone through some amazing color changes. They have three basic layers. Black, over red over tan. They go through a very red phase but it's worth the wait. Mine are now a rather light tan with many shades and highlights. They have been through everything - snow, ice, sun and heat, soaked in the Pacific many times. Highly durable and comfortable. I have another pair, new in box, waiting until they're needed.

How do you like the Marteganis? I've never had any sgoes from them. I was looking at the Lucca2 on sale (bordo) but they don't have my size.

It really doesn't matter who makes them, both make excellent shoes. I have 4 Peal shoes from AS and 1 from C&J. The C&J has a slightly more conservative last but they are all made to the same standards and I love them all.

Yes. If you really want to know, look at what's written on the inside of the shoe. Below the size will be the last number. 87 or 89, AS; 240 or 325, C&J.
