Peal & Co Pebble Grain Chukka Boots at BB - Good sale price? - Page 9

I just received mine. Am going to walk around the office. I'm debating whether I should call BB and whine about the 25%, but honestly I'm reluctant to make a PITA of myself.

^ You won't need to whine. I felt a bit awkward calling myself, and so I called rather sheepishly, but the associate was very helpful and very nice. It's totally painless.

I didn't hesitate, and the woman who helped me didn't care. I asked, she obliged. Took 2 minutes, tops. If anything, I imagine the customer service representatives much prefer taking polite calls asking about price adjustments than angry ones from upset customers. Not their money, so why should they care?

Also, what's a PITA?

Pain in the Atticus.

Pain in the arse (glad I could contribute to this thread). ^^ Oh well. Beaten to the draw by DocHolliday.

My chukka's in black were just delivered to my office. Haven't really had a chance to try them on yet, but they look pretty nice. I used Doc's BB code and got 10% off; if they fit and I keep them, I'll call and ask for 15% more.

I just got mine too just now. I ran half naked down to get it from the door when I saw the Fed-Ex man drop it off.

Beautiful shoes, very elegant last, dark/reddish burgundy pebble grain color. Definitely a keeper. shoes is by Alfred Sargent and fits true to size. The Danite sole will allow wear in bad weather. I'm gonna apply some Sno-Seal to this to get it really water-resistant.

When I get back tonight I'll post pictures.

Oh, don't be shy about calling for price adjustments. I just play nice and the SA just obliged. Like somebody already said, it's not their money.

These looked great, Grade A, something normally I would have jumped on. I didn't because I have just made too many purchases lately. Good job guys who got em. Post pics.

I'm still a bit torn about these. They look great. They're a little tight on my left foot. Would be nice to have for bad weather.

Is one foot bigger than the other?

They look great. The antiquing is very good.
Yes, my left foot is bigger and wider. It's a constant problem.

Used the $10 code when I placed the order on Tuesday, then called for the 15% today. BB took an additional $30 off.

I just called and got the 15% back with no problems at all. I am going to keep the boot. I'm a 10.5 but bought an 11 and it seems to work. The boots seem a little slim and the length is working for me and I could very well could be wearing thicker socks to keep warm. I like the boot quite a bit. It's pretty graceful for a chukka boot. I live in upstate NY and I needed a decent black boot with a danite sole.

If anybody has the burgundy in a 10.5 and don't want to keep them, let me know.
