Next Mafia Movie?

Watched last night on DVD for the first time Donnie Brasco with Johnny Depp and Al Pacino. Was wondering if anyone knew if there were any similar NY Mafia movies or similar in the pipeline?

Not newyork related but Gomorra, based on the Roberto Saviano book has been quite well received. It is not exactly the Mafia, but the Camorra, the Neapolitan organisation. The book has sold something like 1.3m copies here in Italy and the writer has had to go under police protection.

I watched that a few weeks ago. You could watch good fellows or the millers crossing, but the millers crossing is during prohibition in chicago and quiet galmourized.

I hope not. I think that genre is done. Too many angles already pursued. Just dig in the crates.

I have to agree that this genre is done for now. Until another great comes along.

I read a few days ago that Scorsese and DeNiro are hooking up again on an Irish mob flick called "I Heard You Paint Houses". Here's a quick and dirty rundown...
