Yeah, I couldn't find many good pictures (I prefer it to be darker, it has a dense texture that's really unique and quite favorable)

My favorite grocery store has an in-store sushi kiosk that I've been mildly tempted to try. As it is I'm really really tempted to pick up something but tonight is a road trip which means crappy road food.

It wasn't the location so much as the drive-through aspect. Hell, we've all had some shitty sushi at one point just because we don't have the time to sit down and get it properly done. Sometimes I snag some from the local Publix. I know its frozen fish and they bring in a little Asian guy to roll it only in the morning. Don't care.

I've eaten sushi while driving. Actually a really fun experience. Also eaten pizza while driving. And a sub and chips.

Really I'd probably eat just about anything not needing utensils. And even then...

I'm always craving Japanese street food though. I'd kill for some good yakisoba or takoyaki right now.
I haven't had takoyaki in years. I'm not sure I've ever seen it in the US--not that I've looked very hard. I used to eat it all the time in Japan.

I sometimes stop by the local grocery store for sushi. I have gotten to know the guy who makes it there and he seems to do a decent job. I know it's the sushi equivalent of a ham sandwich at the deli a few kiosks over, but that doesn't bother me at all.

One of my favorites as well, and probably the most difficult to make. I think you can tell the quality of the sushi restaurant by the kohada.

FYI I went to a sushi buffet for lunch today that had some fried, americanized sushi. It wasn't all terrible.
