Vintage cords or surplus cords? They are different. Anyway, I saw some light grey 5 pocket vintage cords at the Camarillo outlet J Crew last week. Not sure if they ship or have your size. They have a reasonable selection of men's stuff - I picked up a nice pair of $95 jeans on clearance for $13.

I love that you can combine the 30% sale with the 15% student discount. I got three dress shirts, a lambswool sweater vest, and slippers for $95.

The Sutherland Camel-hair topcoat is amazing it fits beautifully and is crafted to somewhat perfection (for J.Crew) the price is a bit steep though...

Vintage cords. Also, I have no clue where Camarillo is.

They faked me out. They had the awesome fleece funnelneck back on the sale page in a size small for like 2 minutes, and it was gone before I could make my order. I want that thing! It's too bad it's online only.

FWIW, at the J Crew Rockefeller center store today, they still have alot of cords in sizes like 32, 34, waist, and had a black merino wool cardigan in medium. Also, tons of "Special wash" shirts in all sizes.

Recently I was reading - maybe in the New York Times - that the sale of men's clothing is the one silver lining in the retail sale clouds. For me, I'm having problems finding things I want in my size. But tomorrow is the first day of winter so soon we will see spring clothes for sale and I'm ready.

Got the flannel lined camp pant. It's basically a dark charcoal color and the outer part of the pant is light - like a summer weight chino. It weighs 1 pound 11 ounces total so it's lighter than the British Khaki flannel lined pants. The waist came .5 inches bigger than tagged and the inseam .5" shorter. The hips are at least an inch wider than their straight fit jeans and the back rise 3/4 inch longer than the broken in chinos. They don't look too baggy because of the flannel lining, but I would rather have it a bit tighter- too bad I couldn't get them in an odd waist size. It's comfortable and a nice pant - cost was $28 on sale (was $96) so it was a good deal.

I wasn't going to write this because yesterday there were only a couple sizes left. However, today there were a bunch of sizes posted back up so they must've had some returns.

^ I wanted a pair of those but the pocket thing near the thigh/knee area turned me away.

Hello,

does anybody have experience with the Sutherland trench? I'm looking for a spring jacket and was thinking of picking this up if it's lightweight enough.

Thoughts? If it's too heavy for spring, what khaki trench would work better?

Thanks,

K

Does anyone know if they did a huge boxing day sale last year? I'm looking for a comfortable crewneck in navy but not sure which one to get. Do they restock this cashmere wool sweater often? Just looking for it in Navy. http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Mens...1120/11120.jsp Is it worth that much more than the cotton-cashmere blend? I read in this thread that the the cotton-cashmere is more washable, is just like cotton, is less soft... anything else? Is the cotton-cashmere uncomfortable at all? That's mainly what I'm worried about: Also, is the merino wool crewneck better than cashmere? I don't see it in stock, but maybe they'll restock. How do crewnecks size? True? Also what about dress shirts? Thanks,
