"The astonishing spectacle of a leopard savaging a crocodile has been captured for the first time on camera."

"In the past, there have been reports of crocodiles killing leopards, but this is believed to the first time that the reverse scenario has been observed." Maybe this is revenge.

Wait, I thought the snark and lolcats had gone with RJman?

"LabelKing preys on both."

"Mommy, why aren't there any animals at the zoo?"

"LabelKing."

That's one hungry cat. "It just doesn't make sense. The meat you get out of a crocodile is just not worth the risk it takes a predator to acquire."

That is one seriously badass leopard.

This really isn't too surprising. The leopard's close cousin the jaguar quite commonly preys on caimans. I suppose it all depends on the relative sizes of the cat and the croc.

They called the crocodile a mammal.

Plus it tastes like chicken. Where's the payoff?

Much stockier/more heavily built, and stronger. If leopards are cornerbacks, jaguars are linebackers.

Not necessarily. Size of both varies considerably depending on range, sex and probably other factors. One hears claims of jaguars weighing 275 or 300 pounds, but they must be very, very exceptional. In Alan Rabinowitz' book Jaguar the adult jaguars in Belize that he drugged and weighed ranged between 118 and 140 pounds. This is very much in the same size range as the leopard. I was rather surprised at how small they were. Reportedly, they get the biggest down in the Mato Grasso country of Brazil.
